Sound Escapes is a tour operator specialising in concert tours for all types of amateur music ensembles and expressive arts groups to the UK, Ireland and more recently mainland Europe.
Our holidays are completely bespoke and we work closely with choir leaders to create your perfect tour. We will organise every aspect of your tour to include travel, accommodation, excursions, meals, tour guides and of course most importantly your concert performances and the publicity that goes hand in hand with this. Based in Nottingham, we are perfectly placed for facilitating your tour arrangements to the finest detail and offering a very personal service. Our team will ensure a unique and enjoyable tour to wherever your musical journey leads.
About Jo Porter– Owner & Chief Tour Orchestrator
Music, performance, travel, and my home country, the UK, are my greatest passions. After several years as Head of Concert Tours for a bespoke tour operator, Jo founded Sound Escapes in 2019 and her career in specialist group travel now spans 25 years. Raised near the tourist meccas of Blackpool and the Lake District, Jo’s love for travel and tourism began early and she went on to complete a degree in French and Performing Arts. Performance has also been a lifelong passion, from playing piano and violin to singing in choirs, bands and theatre productions which Jo continues to do in her spare time.
