Clare Oliver

With a rich background in performance and music education, Clare Oliver has dedicated her career to inspiring singers and choirs. Having studied at Leeds University, King’s College, London, and the Royal Academy of Music, she has performed as a soprano soloist in operas, oratorios, and recitals, and made appearances on BBC1, Channel 4, and Radio 4.
Beyond performing, Clare is deeply committed to using music for good. She has raised funds for numerous charities, with performances in venues like Winchester Cathedral for the Teenage Cancer Trust, Chute Lodge for Wharf Children and the Alzheimer’s Society, and St Mary’s Andover for the Anton Rotary Club.
As a dedicated music educator with over 30 years of teaching experience, Clare has inspired countless singers and musicians. She is the founder and MD of the award winning Andover Ladies Choir and has been at the helm of the Farleigh School Chapel Choir for over 18 years. She also leads Hampshire Harmony and previously ran the Andover Youth Choir. Her passion for choral singing extends to workshops with organisations such as Andover Kids on Track, Cheltenham Children’s Choir, Andover Rocks, Andover Crisis Centre, and ChoirLab 24 in Bath.
Clare has taken choirs to perform and compete across the UK and Europe, always striving to bring out the very best in every singer. Whether on stage, in rehearsal, or leading a workshop, for Clare, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing singers flourish – gaining confidence, honing their technique, and embracing the joy of making music together.
